국제유도연맹(IJF)이 주최하는 2007 IJF월드컵단체전이 11월 17일부터 18일까지 중국, 북경에서 개최됩니다. 이번 대회에는 IJF에서 선정한 남녀 상위 8개팀만이 출전하며 우리나라에서는 남자팀만 출전합니다. 남자대표팀(코치 3명, 선수 20명)은 11월 19일부터 23일까지 전지훈련을 실시한 뒤 24일 귀국합니다.

2007. 9. 16일 개최된(우리나라 9. 17일) 2007 세계유도선수권대회(남 -60kg, OPEN, 여 -48kg, OPEN)
마지막날 경기에서 최민호 선수가 동메달을 획득하며, 우리나라는 이번 대회에서 금1, 동2 를 획득하였습니다.
또한 우리나라는 남 -60kg, -73kg, 여 -48kg, -52kg, -78kg급에서 국제유도연맹으로부터 주어지는 2008 베이징올림픽대회 출전권을 획득하여, 아시아유도연맹에 배정되어 있는 올림픽 출전권과는 무관하게 해당 체급의 출전권을 사전에 확보할 수 있게되었습니다.

South Korea's Wang Gi-chun beat Azerbaijan's Elnur Mammadli to grab the gold medal in the men's
under-73-kilogram class in the 25th World Judo Championships held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Sunday, the Korea Judo Association said.
Wang gave his country the first gold in world judo championships in four years. Lee Won-hee and two other South Koreans won golds in the World Judo Championships held in Osaka, Japan, in 2003.
North Korea's Kye Sun-hui, meanwhile, defeated Spain's Isabel Fernandez to win gold in the women's under-57-kilogram category. It is her fourth world championships title since 2001.

The IJF Ordinary Congress was held on Monday, 10th September in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and elected the following new Office bearers:
Mr Marius Vizer (AUT) was voted unanimously for 6 years as President.
Mr Hedi Dhouib (TUN) was reconfirmed General Secretary after winning the election against Mr Serge Piquette (CAN) with 139 votes against 44 votes and 1 invalid vote.
Mr Edgar Claure (BOL) resigned, and Mr Naser Mohamed Al Tameemi (UAE) appointed unanimously as General Treasurer.
Mr Mohammed Meridja was elected Education Director 123 votes against 61 votes of Mr Yasuhiro Yamashita

BANGKOK, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- South Korean judoka Kim Sung Bum grabbed the men's over 100kg title at the Universiade on Monday.
Kim out pointed Russian player Dmitry Sterkhov in the final.
The bronze medals were shared by Saeed Khosravinejad from Iran and Yerbulat Yussupov of Kazakhstan.
